Serves in a technical leadership capacity for the sales team and provides time and attention equally amount the sales team or as directed by the Sales & Customer Service Manager. Works directly with the Sales & Customer Service Manager to assign priorities to client prospects and to individual sales team members. Provides ongoing feedback on sales new hires to the Sales & Customer Services Manager regarding performance to ensure each sales associate has the opportunity to ramp up quickly and be successful.
Primary Duties
- Solicits technical requirements from customers.
- Gives sales presentations on and demonstrations of Simply Bits' products.
- Provides expert advice on what products might fulfill the customer's needs.
- Serves as a point of contact for non-routine technical issues at major accounts and helps clients resolve any problems that arise when the product is installed.
- Assists salespeople with the creation and execution of an overall sales strategy for an account and provides opportunities for knowledge transfer to all team members.
- Accompanies sales people on sales calls.
- Provides routine pre and post sales product support (e.g. configuration and installation of VoIP products or interfacing with third-party vendors regarding VoIP cut-over).
- Provides consulting services for system design and integration.
- Assists with the preparation of RFPs and RFQs.
- Acts as primary point-of-contact for special programs, including the FCC E-Rate initiative and FCC compliance-related matters.
- Serves as technical resource and subject matter expert for the Business Development team and Enterprise Services Team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or other relevant field preferred.
- Minimum two years work experience in information technology, telephony or equivalent.
- Good working knowledge of Data and IP services (VoIP, IP, PBX), Managed Network Services (LAN, WAN, Content Delivery, Managed IP PBX) and IT Applications Management.
- Good knowledge of personal computers and associated peripherals, LANS, software and data communications packages.
- Possess a self-starter personality with the ability to multitask and prioritize issues based on severity.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Willingness to exchange information with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to drive between company office and client sites, as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of company and client records and information.
- Possess strong written and oral communication abilities.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills in the areas of collaboration, team participation, creative problem-solving, conflict resolution, group planning, and decision-making processes.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive, professional, and effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments.
